  3. 1. From your  menu, choose Desktop Patterns (System 7.x) or Desktop Pictures (Mac OS 8 through 8.1) or Appearance (Mac OS 8.5--then click the Desktop tab). If you have Mac OS 8.x, click the Pattern button.

  5. 2. Double-click one of these clipping icons to see what the photo inside looks like. When you find one you like, drag its icon onto mini desktop in the control panel you just opened.

  7. 3. Click the SET DESKTOP PATTERN button. You've just applied that new pattern to your entire computer desktop!
